 About GEMS World Academy - Abu Dhabi
Our teachers have received their degrees from universities in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. All the KG classrooms have a full time teaching assistant, with the upper grades having shared teaching assistants depending on grade level and class size. We are a proud learning community with mutual respect and tolerance at our core. We are committed to relationships among and between all members that support the School’s Mission and encourage dignity and respect. We recognize the importance of our host country’s language and culture and promote these at all times. GEMS World Academy offers the International Baccalaureate Organization’s (IBO) Primary Years Program wherein our students learn at an early age what it means to belong to a multicultural, diverse and inter- connected world. We practice daily, cultivating the “culture of kindness”, the school motto, teaching our students to respect each other and the environment in which they live, encouraging them to re-use and recycle while at campus and at home. We are a school of much celebration throughout the school calendar year, celebrating both local and international holidays along with our own school spirit days. We have a strong parent association and they are instrumental in implementing these celebrations. |
