Sheikha Fatima Awards

On September 25th, 2012 Principal Jay Roy announced Grade 3 Student, Madelyn Grcich as the winner of the GEMS World Academy-Abu Dhabi 2011-2012 Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Excellence. Madelyn is the daughter of Ken and Stacy Grcich.

This is the 8th year that this awards program is conducted in GEMS schools throughout the UAE. One awardee is chosen from each school based on the following criteria:

• Outstanding academic success;
• Significant contributions to environmental initiatives/causes;
• A high level of service to community and beyond, in addition, an understanding of social responsibility;
• Behavior and actions that make an exceptional role model and embody the GEMS 4 Core Values.

Madelyn and her family will be attended a ceremony on October 2nd at Dubai Modern High School where she will received her award ~ a full scholarship to GEMS World Academy for the 2012-2013 school year! Congratulations to Madelyn and her parents on being selected for this prestigious award!
