GEMS World Academy – Abu Dhabi (WAA) is proud to offer over 100 After School Activities (ASA’s).

Whether it's building confidence on the stage, learning teamwork on the field, or discovering a passion for coding, our ASA’s are designed to help students grow in ways that go beyond the classroom.

WAA’s comprehensive ASA programme includes Sports, Arts, Languages, Innovation and Academic activities to push all boundaries and limits.

Alongside specialised teachers, we have partnered with several external providers to ensure that our students explore new interests, develop new skills and make lasting friendships.

Using Lego Education SPIKE Prime to design and code robots for the FIRST Lego League Competition

Bookcreator digital story writing
Students will use their imagination and creativity to make their own digital book about the very things they love

A WORLD OF CREATIVITY

Drama
Students engage in the performing arts and theatre. Students will learn acting skills, work on building sets and making props, design costumes and more

French Drama
Practicing role-play

Photography
Learning basic photography skills and exploring various techniques

Islamic Arts
Islamic drawing ideas, develop art skills and learn drawing Islamic arts from the olden days

Just Dance
Increase heart fitness, coordination, strength, and balance

Under the Sea
Learn about oceans, animals, different habitats, and mythical creatures like mermaids

Cooking
Students will explore nutritional food groups, learn health and safety when preparing food, and compose various recipes that they can use in their world

Board Games
Children will build problem solving and thinking skills by playing as well as creating their own board games

Fine Motor Development Club
Developing fine motor skills through various activities and manipulatives - all in preparation for (better) writing

    GEMS World Academy – Abu Dhabi has been providing the highest quality education since 2011. We moved to our brand-new, purpose-built campus on Al Reem Island in 2022, when we when we significantly enhanced our IB PYP and MYP FS1 to Year 10 provision with the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum for England content.
